So you love mussels, oysters and lobster? Then PEI International Shellfish Festival is your dream destination. You will find plenty to love at the Shellfish Festival, most notably a fantastic line-up of entertainment from mid-day to almost mid-night on Friday and Saturday and all Sunday afternoon.
What better way to spend a weekend afternoon than sitting with a chilled beverage in hand, a plate of shellfish before you and a stage full of terrific East Coast musical talent?
The Festival stage features Island favourites like Boys in the Kitchen, the Chaissons and Eddy Quinn plus singer songwriters like Tim & Tian and Jon Matthews. Later in the evening the tempo picks up with the Mellotones on Friday night and Signal Hill on Saturday. Dance off all that butter and stomp away seafood calories from 9-11 pm. Perhaps a little less familiar to regulars to the Island music scene is “Bang on the Ear,”coming to the Festival from Ontario this year. They mix it up, fusing Celtic music with rock, traditional Irish and Scottish tunes with original songs. Bang on the Ear performs Friday and Sunday.
Mussels + Music, Shellfish + Songs… it all adds up to fun times at the PEI International Shellfish Festival. Check out the schedule here!
