The first two heats of the Garland Canada International Chef Challenge took place in the Festival tent in front of a live audience of over 400 people. Each chef had 45 minutes to prepare 4 shellfish dishes using stove top cooking only with PEI shellfish as the main ingredient to present to a panel of judges. Chef Michael Smith along with comedian, Rob Barry talked with the chefs as they cooked and gave the audience play by plays throughout the intense competition.
