World’s Longest Lobster Roll Record Attempt to take place Sunday, September 18 at the PEI International Shellfish Festival

(Charlottetown, September 13, 2016) – The PEI Fishermen’s Association will be setting out to break the record for the World’s Largest Lobster Roll during the 2016 PEI International Shellfish Festival. The current record of 106.2 feet is held by the Lobster Festival in Shediac New Brunswick.

The lobster roll will be baked by Chef Ross Munro of the Red Door Oyster Company Café in Stanley Bridge PEI. Chef Ross is an award winning chef with previous experience in executing a lobster roll of this magnitude!

60 Prince Edward Island Lobster Boat captains will be proudly representing their industry as they carry the lobster roll into the festival tent from an offsite location.

Festival goers will be taking part in filling the lobster roll and enjoying a sample of this delicious record breaking creation. Popular Food Network Canada Chef Lynn Crawford will be guest emcee for this record breaking attempt.
