World’s Longest Lobster Roll Attempt

(Charlottetown, September 20, 2015) – The PEI Fishermen’s Association set out to break the record to make the World’s Longest Lobster Roll during the 20th anniversary of the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival.

The bread was baked at the Historic Charlottetown Seaport by Chef Ross Munro and team and 32 fishermen paraded the bread to the Charlottetown Event Grounds on Sunday September 20th to the Shellfish Festival celebrations.

The lobster roll final length was 79feet 1 inch. It was made with 75 lbs of lobster, 150 lbs of dough, 20L of mayoniase, 24 lemons and 5lbs of red onion. 

Festival goers got to take part in stuffing the lobster roll & enjoying a sample of the lobster roll. Food Network Canada’s Chef Lynn Crawford took part in the official record breaking attempt.
