Restaurant: Raymond’s Restaurant
Ross Larkin didn’t always have his heart set on being a chef. He started from humble beginnings as a potato peeler for his family’s fish and chips shop, until he discovered his true passion after spending some time in kitchens and loving the pace of the culinary world. He quickly moved up the ranks and is now Chef de Cuisine at one of Canada’s top restaurants, Raymonds.
Unlike many of his peers, Ross did not attend culinary school, and feels he needs to prove himself every day. Raymonds prides itself on using only locally sourced ingredients, and Ross is constantly being tested by what’s available. Working at the restaurant has made him stronger, more creative and more resourceful. Ross recently beat out his 12 competitors and finished as the winner of Top Chef Canada Season 6.
