Charlottetown, PE, May 25, 2023 – The PEI International Shellfish Festival presented by Dairy Farmers of PEI is back and ready to celebrate the best of the best when it comes to shellfish. The festival is scheduled to take place from September 14th to September 17th, 2023 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
Renowned chef Corbin Tomaszeski and world champion oyster shucker Shucker Paddy are teaming up to bring you an unforgettable shellfish weekend packed with entertainment.
Chef Corbin Tomaszeski, known for his unique vision and passion for meaningful culinary experiences, has left an indelible mark on the world of food. Corbin has captured the hearts of food lovers through his popular Food Network shows, including “The Incredible Food Race,” “Dinner Party Wars,” “Restaurant Makeover,” and “Restaurant Takeover.” His culinary expertise extends to his published cookbook, “In Good Company,” and the successful launch of his boutique food company, Corbin Catering and Foods.
Joining forces with Corbin is none other than Patrick, affectionately known as Shucker Paddy, a true maestro in the world of oysters. Holding three Guinness World Records for shucking oysters, Patrick has rightfully claimed the title of world champion oyster shucker. In addition, his exceptional knowledge and expertise have earned him the coveted designation of an oyster sommelier. Adding to his accomplishments, Patrick has successfully built, owned, and managed two acclaimed restaurants in Toronto.
Together, chef Corbin and Shucker Paddy will take center stage as the festival hosts, captivating audiences with live cooking demonstrations, immersive Shucking 101 sessions and fans will have the chance to get up close and personal during cookbook signings.
The festival proudly announces its new presenting sponsor, the Dairy Farmers of PEI, to showcase the perfect pairing of shellfish and dairy. Early bird tickets to the 2023 festival went on sale today, and if you purchase them before July 31 at 11:59pm, you can save 15%.
