Charlottetown, PE, September 13, 2023 – The PEI International Shellfish Festival events will proceed as planned at the Charlottetown Event Grounds. All of our exciting Saturday activities are still on as planned. Mother Nature may have other plans, so please come prepared for the weather. Your safety is our number one priority, and we’re taking every precaution to ensure you have an unforgettable experience, even in less-than-ideal weather conditions! To ensure that everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable Festival experience, we ask all attendees dress for the weather and wear attire that reflects that, such as rain boots, rain gear etc.
“We are fully prepared to ensure the safety and comfort of our festival attendees. Our dedicated team, along with the tent company, has taken every precaution to address potential weather challenges, said Liam Dolan, Festival Chair. “We have sump pumps in place to manage any excess water, and with our location on pavement, we are confident in our ability to adapt to changing conditions. In the event of a power outage, we have an on-site generator in place should we need it.”
