Charlottetown, PE, September 13, 2023 – The highly anticipated PEI International Shellfish Festival presented by Dairy Farmers of PEI is all set to kick off this Thursday, September 14th, at the Charlottetown Event Grounds. Despite the looming presence of Hurricane Lee, festival organizers are assuring attendees that the show will go on, promising an unforgettable experience for shellfish enthusiasts and festival-goers alike.
Organizers have been closely monitoring the hurricane’s path and are confident that while Hurricane Lee may bring some rain and wind to the Island, it is not expected to deter the festival’s success. Safety is a top priority, and necessary precautions have been taken to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. At this time, the festival’s schedule remains unchanged.
“We are fully committed to delivering the PEI International Shellfish Festival to our loyal fans and newcomers alike,” said Liam Dolan, Festival Chair. “We have plans in place to address any weather-related challenges and ensure that the event proceeds without a hitch. So grab your rain gear and join us.”
